Budibase

An experiment with low-code application building.

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform for building custom business applications. The Bunker Operations deployment was used to prototype a "target simple" application — exploring whether low-code tools could complement the Change Maker platform.

What was built

• Custom Budibase plugin: A social card component
• Target Simple app: Application export preserved in the archive
• Docker deployment: docker-compose.yaml with environment generation script

Outcome

While Budibase proved capable for rapid prototyping, the team ultimately chose to build custom features directly into the Changemaker Lite V2 platform using Express.js and React — giving full control over the data model and user experience.
